چکیده

The very early hydration behavior of a hydraulic binder phase, ye’elimite, Ca4Al6O12SO4, in the absence and presence calcium sulfate, has been investigated. A time-resolved situ multinuclear magic angle spinning (MAS) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopic suite involving 1H 27Al MAS as well two-dimensional multiple quantum (MQMAS) experiments employed to detect transient species govern sequence reactions subsequent formation products. results study show that rates ye’elimite products vary substantially according or sulfate. Hydrated sulfoaluminate phases such ettringite monosulfate aluminum hydroxide gel have detected during various stages hydration. direct observation aluminates sulfoaluminates illustrates potential newly designed NMR experimental approach for fingerprinting offers significant advantages over other established techniques detecting species.

HR-MAS NMR Spectroscopy in Material Science

In the early to mid-90’s, NMR studies were being published that recognized the power of magic angle spinning (MAS) to increase resolution in materials that were not strictly solids by averaging differences in magnetic susceptibility and residual dipolar coupling inherent in these samples. The method of utilizing MAS for non-solid materials to produce liquid-like NMR lines was termed High-Resolu...

Insights into the Acid–Base Properties of PtIV–Diazidodiam(m)inedihyroxido Complexes from Multinuclear NMR Spectroscopy

Platinum(IV) am(m)ine complexes are of interest as potential anticancer pro-drugs, but there are few reports of their acid-base properties. We have studied the acid-base properties of three photoactivatable anticancer platinum(IV)-diazidodiam(m)ine complexes (cis,trans,cis-[Pt(IV)(N(3))(2)(OH)(2)(NH(3))(2)], trans,trans,trans-[Pt(IV)(N(3))(2)(OH)(2)(NH(3))(2)], and cis,trans-[Pt(IV)(N(3))(2)(OH...

Time-resolved Spectroscopy Fast Time-resolved Mid-infrared Spectroscopy Using an Interferometer

The development of fast time-resolved mid-infrared (MIR) spectroscopy since the 1980s has provided an effective tool for the study of transient chemical species in dynamic systems.1,2 Interest in this particular spectroscopy stems from the virtual universality of infrared (IR) absorption, the rich molecular structural information contained in the MIR spectrum, and the fast time scale of vibrati...
